Pop-Up Heads from 3" to 12"

At Irrigation.ca, we provide commercial-grade pop-up sprinkler heads and empty spray bodies engineered for flexible, low-maintenance lawn and landscape watering. These heavy-duty housings contain a temporary plastic flush plug, requiring installers to select matching spray or rotary nozzles separately to complete the assembly.

Application Heights and Landscape Configurations

Pop-up spray bodies housing retractable risers adapt to specific turf heights and landscape backdrops to achieve uniform water distribution. Selecting the proper riser height prevents plant foliage from blocking the spray pattern and dropping fluid velocity.

  • Two-Inch and Four-Inch Spray Bodies: These heights provide standard coverage for clean, manicured grass areas and shallow soil trenches, remaining safely out of the path of lawn equipment when retracted.

  • Six-Inch and Twelve-Inch Spray Bodies: These tall configurations clear changing ground covers, ornamental shrub borders, and deep flower beds, distributing water cleanly over dense foliage without requiring permanent rigid risers.

Mechanical Engineering and Heavy-Duty Construction

Professional spray bodies, including the Rain Bird 1800 series, Irritrol IPro Series and Toro 570Z lines, feature robust physical properties built to withstand freezing winter conditions and sudden high-pressure surges. Co-molded wiper seals stop internal bypass flushing as the vertical riser extends, maintaining critical system pressure and preventing water pooling at the base of the head. This tight mechanical seal sweeps abrasive dirt, grit, and sand away from the neck during retraction, protecting internal components from scoring or jamming open.

Heavy-duty stainless steel retraction springs supply positive downward force to pull the riser entirely beneath ground level when the zone valve shuts off. Reinforced ABS plastic outer casings resist damage from foot traffic and ground shifts, securing long-term operational alignment in the field. Removing the internal flush plugs and clearing debris lines prior to threading on final nozzles ensuring clean, unobstructed flow paths across the entire zone.
