Netafim Arkal Disc Filter Replacement for 1 & 1-1/2" Filter Body (Short Body) 

Netafim Arkal disc filter replacement, plastic rings stack together creating a cylindrical filter element. During filtration, the rings are compressed together effectively filtering the water and protecting the system from clogging. These replacement discs come in 80 Mesh (Yellow) and 120 Mesh (Red).

Mesh and micron measure filter opening size, but mesh counts the openings per inch (Coarser Screens), while microns measure the exact opening size in micrometers (Finer Filters). Mesh is a count, while micron is a precise physical dimension

Number of opening in one linear inch on the filter

Micron: 

A unit of length equal to one millionth of a meter
